Lanell Matt (PhD, Physical) is a 34 year old mother of one (Rafael is 26 weeks old), and is currently a 1st year Ph.D. student in Biological Anthropology (her interests here are dentition and forensics).  Lanell is also an official enrolled member of the Salish Tribe of northwest Montana (the reservation she is affiliated with is called the Flathead Reservation).  Lanell has led a very exciting life, and she really like tattoos (She has gotten, over a period of 16 years, 10 different tattoos...and she still desires more!).  Lanell successfully defended her Master’s thesis on October thirteenth at the New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. Lanell’s son, Raphael, keeps her busy as she begins work on her PhD in Anthropology.
